Mats are printed using a high quality UV digital print process. In normal indoor use, mats will retain their color for years.

Colors may appear slightly different on every screen, computer, tablet or cell phone. Therefore you can expect that the colors on your screen will reflect closely the colors of your chosen product but they will never be identical.

Our products are digitally created with great respect for the origin and authenticity of the designs, their color, and quality. Every production batch carries a different “DNA” so you can expect small variations in color between batches--much like canvas floor cloths of old.

We have emulated traditional designs. Some patterns look like aged tiles with their own unique patina. Other patterns emulate native woven fabric.

The surface feels soft underfoot, with a slight cushiony feel.

We ship the floor mats rolled. Cold weather can affect the performance and flexibility so warmth should do the trick. Reverse roll the floor mat and lay it for a moment a safe distance from a mild heat source until it softens a little. Spread the floor mat on the floor. Within a short while it will flatten out completely.

Our mats are easy to clean and require very little maintenance.

- Wash the mat only with soap and water on both sides and leave to dry.

- Do not use acid, bleach, chlorine, dish soap, degreaser, or alcohol as they can damage the printing.

Yes. Beija Flor floor mats can withstand 85°F/30°C from radiant heating systems.

From years of experience we haven't encountered any problems with using our floor mats on wood floors. However, make sure the floor is completely dry. Otherwise, the materials may have a negative reaction when placed on a wood floor. We also recommend occasionally lifting and moving your floor mat to refresh and air the surface.

Our placemats aren’t made to endure such high temperatures. A heated plate is fine.

With reasonable domestic use our decorative floor mats will serve you for many years. Please note the following:

- Do not drag heavy furniture across the surface

- Do not fold the floor mat! If transported or stored, either lay it flat or roll it up

- For indoor use only. Can be used in shaded patio or balcony

- Do not place in wet environments as they become slippery once water gathers on the upper surface.

Libeco Linen FAQ

Libeco is an authentic Belgian Linen™ manufacturer with more than 160 years of experience. Libeco is a 5th generation family business with an outstanding reputation.

Linen is made from flax. This plant grows to more than three feet high in only 100 days. After a short flowering period, the flax stems are pulled from the soil and dried on the field. The fiber can then be extracted from the plant. The rest of the plant is used in various materials; nothing goes to waste. The spinner spins the flax fibers into yarn and Libeco weaves the yarn into linen fabric.

Flax is a rich and ecological resource without waste, which means that linen itself is inherently sustainable. We make a conscious choice to keep our production based locally and our ecological footprint small. Our weaving mill has been certified carbon neutral since 2014.

Most of our fabrics are pre-washed, only small shrinkage might occur.

No. We currently do not offer a warranty on any of our products.

- As linen is a natural product, we suggest you use biodegradable or natural detergents.
- Avoid laundry detergent that contains any type of bleach. Bleach based on chlorine is acidic and affects the fibers in the fabric, weakening your linen over time.
- Unless your linen is very soiled, we suggest using only half of the recommended amount of detergent.
- Avoid the use of fabric softeners, as these apply an artificial coat on the linen. This will prevent the fibers from breathing. With a little patience, your linen will obtain a unique lushness over time.
