Work in progress... almost ready!
The work at the shop is really coming along. We have pretty much gutted the place, removed a wall, added doors, light fixtures, repaired the bathroom (which was really horrible), and fixed walls. I sewed curtains for the shipping room and a little curtain in the front of the sink in the bathroom—what a transformation! I can’t sew very well but the curtains came out looking pretty good if you don’t look too closely.
Here's what the store looked like before we took possession and a shot midway through:
We painted everything white. It will take a couple more weeks to complete everything but my guys who are doing the work are incredible.
My carpenter, Steve, made me a wonderful counter and little wooden shelves to put on the tables to give my smaller products, some height. His son Joe is doing the painting and has the tough task of putting the shelving together and attaching them to the walls. They put the sign up—that was a thrill!
So, we are really making headway… I am so excited about getting everything in and styled and am so grateful for all the help and support. We are still waiting for some of our purchases to arrive, but we can now start to set the date for opening. Life is good!
